Avalanches
I have been working as an Avalanche Forecaster for SportScotland Avalanche Information Service in the Ben Nevis area for 18 winters. I have also spent one winter working on the avalanche control team at Treble Cone in New Zealand.
Avalanche Training
I currently offer CPD training for members of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors and members of the British Association of International Mountain Leaders.
This generally consists of accompanying the avalanche forecaster on the mountain and assisting in gathering field data and preparing the Snow and Avalanche Report for Lochaber.
